Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has said that the government is taking all necessary measures for promotion of sports across the country.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Media Cricket League in Islamabad today, he emphasized the importance of nurturing talent in various fields, including sports.
The Minister commended the organization of the Media Cricket League as a positive initiative and expressed hope that media channels will continue to host such healthy activities in the future. He assured that the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will fully support media channels in organizing similar events.
He also mentioned that Pakistan is set to host the ICC Champions Trophy this year, with arrangements being finalized to ensure its success.
He noted that hosting the ICC Champions Trophy is a matter of national pride and will enhance Pakistan's reputation on the global stage.
Minister Tarar praised Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and his team for making world-class preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy.
The Information Minister also announced that Yaum-e-Tameer-o=Tarraqi will be celebrated on February 8th this year, with awards to be presented to high achievers in various fields.
In response to a question, Attaullah Tarar stated that political parties are currently in talks to ensure political stability in the country. He emphasized that both political and economic stability are crucial for advancing the nation toward development and prosperity.
