South Korean says that North Korea fired short-range multiple rocket launchers on Sunday.

In a statement, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said that South's military was monitoring the related situation and maintaining a readiness posture.

Meanwhile, South Korea's National Security Council held an emergency vice-ministerial meeting over the launches.
