In Saudi Arabia, nine Pakistani citizens including women and children have been killed and five Umrah pilgrims sustained injuries in a traffic accident near Al-Qassim area.

It has been reported that the deceased were returning after performing Umrah from Medina to Riyadh.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the accident of Pakistani Umrah pilgrims' bus in Saudi Arabia.

In a statement on Thursday, he directed the Pakistani Embassy in Saudi Arabia to provide all possible assistance to the affected people.

He prayed for the departed souls and early recovery of the injured.
