Speakers at a session on “Recent Trends in Indian Foreign Policy” have advised Pakistan to remain vigilant as India go through a slew of key state elections this year and Lok Sabha polls next year.

The session organized by India Study Centre at the Institute of Strategic Studies in Islamabad, was attended by former diplomats, academics, scholars and researchers affiliated with think-tanks.

The participants assessed the pursuit of ‘Hindutva’ ideology in India's internal and external dimensions and evaluated its implications for regional peace and security.

They also highlighted the propensity in India to use certain foreign policy issues for domestic political gains, especially in the run-up to elections.
