Khartoum's outskirts attacked as Sudan war enters sixth week

In Sudan, at least thirty people have been killed in the two previous days as fighting between government's army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces entered in sixth week.

According to the media reports, air strikes hit the outer areas of the capital Khartoum and people faced heavy artillery fire. Hundreds of thousands civilians are trapped in a humanitarian crisis and more than a million have been displaced so far.

According to the World Health Organization, the conflict, which began on 15th April, has displaced almost one point one million people internally and into neighbouring countries. Some seven hundred five people have been killed and at least 5,287 injured.
