At least eleven people have died following the partial collapse of a highway bridge in northwestern China following heavy storms and flooding.

The collapse caused some vehicles to plunge into the river below the bridge located in Zhashui County in Shangluo City.

Rescue operations were still underway with some cars and people still missing.
