President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have applauded security forces for killing eight Khwarij in Hangu and paid glowing tribute to the martyred officers and jawans who sacrificed their lives in defence of the motherland.

In their separate statements, the President and Prime Minister expressed deep grief over the martyrdom of Captain Abuzar Farooq, Lieutenant Sheraz Babar and other personnel and extended heartfelt condolences to their families.

The President said the sacrifices of our brave sons further strengthen the national resolve to root out terrorism from the country.

The Prime Minister said the martyred officers and soldiers demonstrated unparalleled valour and the entire nation salutes them.
