Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Masood Khan says the Government of Pakistan accords the highest priority to education sector especially girls education.
Talking to Executive Director Pakistan Alliance for Girls Education Fajer Pasha in Washington today, he said we will continue to provide every possible support to the efforts aimed at promoting education especially in far flung areas of the country.
In recognition of implementation of highly successful practices in literacy programming the Library of Congress USA has honored Pakistan Alliance for Girls Education (PAGE), as Successful Practices Honorees in 2023 Literacy Awards Program.
Ambassador Masood Khan congratulated Fajer Pasha, Executive Director Pakistan Alliance for Girls Education, who called on him at the Chancery today. He also felicitated the entire team of PAGE, terming their efforts as ‘a great contribution to the increasing literacy in Pakistan.
The Ambassador urged Ms. Pasha to create greater awareness about education opportunities available in the United States for Pakistani girls.
Appreciating US government’s continued support for education sector in Pakistan, Masood Khan said that more than 8000 Pakistani students visited the United States last year in pursuit of their education which is 17% increase compared to preceding year.
He wished PAGE best wishes in its endeavors and assured all possible support to it.
