Dr. Muhammad Khan (IR Expert):The incumbent government is prioritizing development of Balochistan and allocated two hundred billion rupees for development projects in Balochistan. The government has allocated such a huge amount with a vision of development of people of Balochistan. Over the decades, federal governments have been dolling out huge amount of funds for Balochistan’s development but provincial setups have shown incompetence in addressing the basic needs of Baloch people. In this regard, Speaker of national and provincial assemblies must direct the elected representatives to supervise the quality of development projects in a transparent manner in their respective constituencies. The federal government must also hold responsible people accountable for failure in delivering to the masses at provincial level. It is vital because bad governance is resulting in lawlessness and unrest. Therefore, the federal government must ensure fair utilization of allocated funds for Balochistan.
