Minister for Energy Muhammad Hammad Azhar says the PTI government has imported LNG at cheaper rates while it was being purchased at higher prices in the past.

In a video statement today (Monday) , while reacting to a press conference conducted by PMLN leaders, he said the government has signed an agreement with Qatar to import LNG at the cheapest rate which is on record.

He said the rent of power plants was 180 billion rupees in 2013 which has now swelled to 800 billion rupees annually due to expensive contracts made by PMLN during its last tenure.
