In India, Police fired tear gas shells to disperse farmers, protesting for their rights on the national highway leading to the capital New Delhi.

The farmers resumed the march towards the capital today after failure of talks with Modi-government.

The farmers chanted slogans in favour of their demands.

The farmers, mostly from the Punjab and Haryana states have been demanding higher prices for their crops.
