Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik says Pakistan is committed to sustainable mining, regulatory reforms and infrastructural development, ensuring thriving investment landscape for international partners.
He was briefing foreign diplomats in the federal capital today about the two-day Mineral Investment Forum 2025, being held in Islamabad from eighth of the next month in Islamabad.
The Minister said Pakistan is endowed with vast mineral wealth, including metallic, energy and industrial minerals as well gemstones, making it a hub for global mining investments.
The Minister said rare metals, geographical finds and minerals will be displayed will be exhibited at the forum. He said speakers of international repute and policymakers in the mining sector have been invited to enrich the audience at a conference during the event. The conference will provide a platform for international experts to deliver insightful technical presentations, highlighting technologies and the best industry practices.
Ali Pervaiz Malik said the revised feasibility of the Reko Diq project will be rolled out at the forum. He said the new mining policy will also be launched under which all future concessions and mining rights will be transferred to the potential investors.
The Minister said the investment forum will provide first-hand opportunity to developmental partners to engage with Pakistan's mining sector. This event will act as a gateway to explore Pakistan's untapped mineral wealth and strategic importance.
