Pakistan has expressed concern over deteriorating security situation in Sudan. 

The concern was conveyed by the Foreign Secretary Dr. Asad Majeed Khan during a meeting with Sudanese Ambassador to Pakistan Salih Mohamed Ahmed in Islamabad on Friday.

The foreign secretary expressed the hope that Sudanese authorities would take all measures to ensure the safety and security of Pakistanis in Sudan. 

Meanwhile, Dr. Asad Majeed held an online coordination meeting with Pakistan Missions in Khartoum and surrounding countries on the situation in Sudan.

He said the Government is working with foreign countries to ensure the security of Pakistanis, including the option of their evacuation.
