Sudan's paramilitary Rapid Support Forces announced a 72-hour humanitarian truce today on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

According to the RSF, the truce beginning 6 am local time today is meant to create humanitarian corridors to allow civilians to evacuate and reunite with their loved ones.

There has been no official response from the Sudanese army.
