The federal cabinet has passed a condolence resolution on the martyrdom of Iranian President Sayyed Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and their companions in the helicopter crash.
The meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tributes to the Iranian President for his immense services for promotion of Pakistan-Iran relations as well as regional cooperation.
The cabinet prayed for the higher ranks of the Iranian President, the Foreign Minister and others who died in the helicopter crash.
In his remarks on the occasion, Shehbaz Sharif said the entire Pakistani nation is deeply saddened over the tragic death of Iranian President Sayyed Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and their companions.
Extending heartfelt condolences with the bereaved families and the Iranian people, the Prime Minister said Pakistani nation stands by them in this hour of difficulty.
The Prime Minister said Late President Raisi was a scholar and a sagacious leader and with his death, Pakistan has lost a sincere friend.
Shehbaz Sharif said the services of the late President for Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations and regional cooperation will always be remembered.
The Prime Minister expressed the firm resolve to carry forward the vision of President Raisi for robust Pakistan-Iran relations.
