
The 50th Grand Hajj Symposium was held in Jeddah to outline new measures aimed at improving pilgrims’ services and managing extreme heat.
Among others, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf attended the event.
Radio Pakistan’s correspondent Asad Ullah Khan reports from Saudi Arabia that the symposium brought together religious affairs ministers and heads of Hajj missions from around the globe.
Welcoming the guests, Saudi Arabia’s Minister for Hajj and Umrah said providing the best facilities to pilgrims remains the government’s top priority. He said extensive arrangements have been made to protect pilgrims from extreme heat.
The session also reviewed digital reforms for managing pilgrims’ movement within the holy sites.
