A Memorandum of Understanding regarding provision of sacrificial animals on behalf of Pakistani pilgrims was signed between the Pakistan Hajj Mission and the Islamic Development Bank in Jeddah on Tuesday.
Under the MoU, the Bank will ensure arrangement of sacrifice in accordance with Shariah principles, while the sacrificial animals will be approved by a team of experts and scholars after thorough inspection.
Director Hajj Sajid Manzoor Asadi told Radio Pakistan that the MoU with IDB is only for those pilgrims, who have deposited the sacrificial money under government scheme.
He said those Pakistani pilgrims, who have not submitted the amount will also be given time till 5th of Zul Hajj to deposit the amount.
He said, the amount of the sacrifice has been reduced from 849 to 809 decreasing 40 Saudi riyals, and all the sacrificial matters will be handled by the Islamic Development Bank.
