Eid-ul-Azha is being celebrated on Wednesday with religious fervor to commemorate the great sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismael (AS).    

The day dawned with special prayers in mosques for well-being of the Ummah and progress, prosperity and security of the country.

Eid congregations were held at mosques, Eidgahs and open places in all cities, towns and villages with strict adherence to all SOPs of COVID-19.

Ulema in their sermons of Eid highlighted the significance of the philosophy of great sacrifice offered by Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismail (AS).

People will offer sacrifices of animals to follow the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS).

Like other parts of the country, Eid-ul- Adha is being celebrated with religious zeal and fervor in Lahore today.

EId prayers offered after Fajar prayer for the country's progress and prosperity and unity of Ummah in the city.

After Eid prayer, dua was offered for peace, progress and prosperity of  country and  salvation of the people of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir from the Indian suppression and atrocities

A Large number of Eid congregations held in different parts of the provincial metropolis.

Radio Pakistan, Ptv and private channels are presenting special programs, prepared for Eid ul Adha.

The Eidul Azha is also being celebrated in Sindh including its capital Karachi today like elsewhere in the country with religious fervour to commemorate the great sacrifice of Hazrat Ibraheem and Hazrat Ismail (AS).

The Eid congregations under Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs) devised by the government  held at Mosques, Eidgahs, and open places in all the small and big cities in the province to avoid COVID- 19.

The main Eid congregation was held at Gulshan-e-Jinnah and Memon mosque in Karachi.

Meanwhile special arrangements have also been made for lifting and dumping the offal of sacrificial animals at specified landfill sites.

All the departments concerned have been directed to ensure cleanliness and anti-sect spray at all the areas and landfill sites in the city to avoid spread of viral diseases.

Meanwhile, various areas of Karachi are receiving intermittent light rain since early this morning that has turned the weather cool and pleasant and has doubled the joy of Eid.

Like other parts of the country  Eid-Ul-Azha is also being  celebrated with religious reverence to commemorate the great sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) in Balochistan today.

In Quetta Eid prayers were offered at more than 200 places including Masajids, Eidgahs, open places and Imambargahs.

Governor Balochistsn Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha offered Eid prayer at Governor House in Quetta today while Chief Minister Balochistan  Jam Kamal Khan is celebrating Eid in Quetta.

Meanwhile the district administration has made comprehensive arrangements to maintain cleanliness situation in the provincial capital as well as other districts of Balochistan.
