Pakistan reaffirms its condemnation of all forms of terrorism

As the world commemorates, International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism on Saturday, Pakistan has reaffirmed it condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestation, which needs to be rooted out from the world.

In a statement, Foreign office spokesperson said the use of terrorism as an instrument of state policy by some regional countries cannot be allowed to continue at the cost of peace, security and prosperity of the region.

He said Pakistan especially honours the victims of terrorism in the country, Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Palestine and other parts of the world.

The spokesperson said Pakistan has sacrificed over 80,000 lives over last two decades in its relentless struggle against terrorism.

He said the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir deserve our special tribute for their unparalleled sacrifices of over 90 thousand innocent people, fighting the worst form of state-terrorism unleashed by Indian security forces.

He said the international community has a moral and legal obligation to take effective measures to suppress this terrorism, beyond narrow political interests and parochial geo-political agendas.
