Zamir Assadi (IR Expert): The government is paying due heed towards development and progress in our agricultural sector because agriculture is backbone of our economy. Agricultural development in China is getting global attention as it has done miraculous achievements in this sector over the years. Pakistan and China have immense potential of enhancing bilateral cooperation in agriculture sector and they can further cement existing bilateral collaboration in this sector. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif during his official trip to China visited an agricultural arena and learnt a lot from Chinese development and progress in this sector. Now Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif wants to modernize Pakistani agricultural sector on Chinese pattern. Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has also discussed agricultural cooperation with Chinese companies. Definitely agricultural cooperation between both the countries will also contribute significantly to our national economy. We are hopeful that Chinese expertise will also play a greater role in Pakistani economy.
