World Water Day is being observed on Saturday to raise awareness about the need for sustainable water management and conservation.

This year the theme of the day is ‘Glacier Preservation’.

Glaciers are critical to life and their rapid melting is threatening animal and plant life.

Meanwhile, the annual earth hour will be observed in Pakistan tonight like other countries of the world.

It encourages the individuals, communities and businesses to give an hours for earth be switching off non-essential electric light for an hours from 8:30 to 9:30 PM.
