Pakistan and Iran have reaffirmed their commitment to further deepen existing commonalities in bilateral relations, regional peace and economic benefits.
This commitment came during delegation level talks between the two countries held in Tehran participated by the foreign ministers of both the countries.
On the occasion, the Foreign Minister reiterated Pakistan's commitment to continue to facilitate and assist in efforts for lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi apprising his Iranian counterpart on serious human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, urged the international community to hold India accountable for crimes against Kashmiris.
The Foreign Minister appreciated Dr. Javad Zarif for his recent statement in support of Kashmiris' right to self-determination.
They also discussed increasing Islamophobia in certain European countries.
