The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has called for a complete shutdown across Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, to oppose the controversial Waqf Amendment Act 2025 and the mass issuance of domicile certificates to outsiders.

APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement in Srinagar, called the Waqf Act an anti-Muslim move and a direct assault on the political, religious and social identity of the Kashmiri and Indian Muslims.

The APHC also called upon the international community to take urgent action and resolve the Kashmir dispute, warning that its non-resolution threatens peace and stability in the South Asian region.

On the other hand, Indian troops have launched a cordon and search operation in the Pahalgam area of Islamabad.
