Pakistan has urged the UN Security Council for a decisive action to address escalating crisis in Haiti.

Delivering the national statement during UN Security Council briefing on Haiti, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad said the people of Haiti deserve peace, stability and a life free from fear.

He urged the Haitian political leadership to demonstrate its primary responsibility to set the country on a sustainable, clear and inclusive path of political stability.
