At the United Nations, Pakistan has vowed to employ all means to defeat the externally sponsored terrorist groups in the country.
The resolve was expressed by Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Munir Akram, while speaking at a session in New York on 'The Global Threat Landscape: Assessment of Current and Emerging Trends', which was part of the ongoing third UN Counter-Terrorism Week.
Munir Akram said Pakistan continues to be a victim of attacks from externally sponsored terrorist groups such as TTP, Da'esh and Baloch militant groups.
Obviously referring to India, he said Pakistan has ample evidence of external state support to these terrorist groups by its adversary in carrying out attacks on Karachi Stock Exchange, Chinese Consulate and Dams and infrastructure.
The Ambassador said Pakistan has been a principal target of such terrorism, having sacrificed eighty thousand lives in fighting against this menace.
