Pakistan and France have emphasized the importance of diplomacy and dialogue in addressing emerging security challenges and promoting peace.

The understanding was reached during the Pakistan-France Joint Security Commission held in Islamabad today.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the session provided an opportunity for high-level exchanges on matters relating to security and defence cooperation.

The two sides reiterated their commitment to further strengthening and implementing cooperation in line with the Pakistan-France Roadmap for Bilateral Cooperation 2023 and agreed to continue bilateral dialogue and engagement.

The delegations also exchanged views on regional security developments and reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation in countering terrorism and addressing related security challenges, including drug trafficking, piracy and other forms of transnational organized crime.
