Sindh government has approved Phase-III Coal Mine expansion project in Thar at an estimated cost of 15.8 billion rupees to excavate 12.2 metric ton coal per annum.

The approval was given by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah while presiding over a meeting in Karachi on Friday.

The meeting was informed that with completion of third phase of the project, Sindh government will receive ten billion rupees royalty annually.

It will also benefit sixty billion rupees to consumers through availability of electricity on low price.
