The Water and Power Development Authority is all set to achieve a major milestone to divert the River Indus by the end of this month for the Diamer Basha Dam project.

According to official sources, the River Indus is being diverted through an almost one-kilometer long diversion tunnel and zero point eight kilometer diversion canal.

River diversion was one of the key activities for the implementation of this mega multi-purpose project.

Diamer Basha Dam will complete in 2028 and produce four thousand five hundred Mega Watt of electricity.
