The government has launched a five-year new National Action Plan for Health Security to help strengthen the capacity of national and provincial health systems.
This comprehensive five-year roadmap was presented to stakeholders by the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination at an event in Islamabad.
The plan will effectively prevent, detect and respond to evolving public health emergencies.
The action plan has been developed with support from the UK’s Evidence for Health Programme.
The plan contains inputs from the government officials and other stakeholders compiled through an extensive consultation process.
