Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in a telephonic conversation with the US President Donald Trump has discussed diplomatic efforts to ease tensions in the Middle East.

Shinzo Abe also apprised Trump the outcome of his talks with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
