Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has reaffirmed that general elections will be held on 8th February next year.
Talking to news men in Islamabad today, he said there is no administrative of financial reason which may obstruct timely holding of elections.
The Minister said the caretaker government has to maintain cordial relations with all political parties to create conducive environment for the elections.
Murtaza Solangi said we have full confidence in the Election Commission of Pakistan in fulfilling its legal and constitutional responsibilities.
Replying to a question, he said the government is trying its best to resolve the issues of Baloch people.
He said all women and children of the protest sit-in by the Baloch people in the federal capital have been released while remaining people will also be released after fulfilling legal procedure.
Earlier, speaking at graduating ceremony of a training of civil servants at Information Services Academy, Murtaza Solangi urged civil servants to work with dedication in fulfilling their professional responsibilities.
He said disseminating correct information is a multifaceted and challenging job due to the changing landscape of media.
Highlighting the importance of regional languages, Murtaza Solangi said Radio Pakistan is broadcasting its transmission in twenty-three languages.
