The 3rd South Summit of the Group of seventy-seven and China has called for protection of civilians and immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

The two-day summit which concluded in Kampala, Uganda today, urged the UN Security Council to implement its resolutions to end the Israel-Palestine conflict without delay.                    

The summit also demanded immediate cessation of all illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem and the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.
