In Azad Kashmir, Pakistan Army provided helicopter service to evacuate patients and local residents from Grace Valley, who were trapped there due to recent snowfall.
A team of seven doctors, including two gynecologists, were airlifted from Muzaffarabad to Halmat by helicopter.
They will provide essential medical assistance to the people of Halmat and Taobat during the snowfall season.
The emergency patients were also shifted from Halmat to Kel and Muzaffarabad as per medical requirement.
In addition, a free medical camp was held in Sardari, where 153 patients were examined and provided with free medicines and advice.
Pakistan Army and Civil administration’s machinery and personnel are continuously working to open the road from Kel to Taobat.
So far, 25 kilometers of the road, which was closed after snowfall, has been reopened to Halmat.
Locals of Grace Valley have highly appreciated the continuous efforts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir government and Pakistan Army for providing helicopter service, medical personnel and keeping the road open.
