Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, in his meeting with Qatari counterpart Ali Ahmed Al-Kuwari on the sidelines of World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, discussed avenues for enhancing economic and investment cooperation between two brotherly countries.
He highlighted Pakistan's improved international financial ratings, which reflect the country’s robust efforts towards fiscal reforms, macroeconomic stability, and sustainable development.
The Finance Minister emphasized that these improvements are positioning Pakistan as an attractive destination for foreign investment, especially from key partner nations like Qatar.
The meeting concluded with a shared vision to strengthen the partnership between the two brotherly nations, aiming to elevate the level of economic engagement for the benefit of both countries.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb also met with Managing Director of Operations at the World Bank Anna Bjerde.
They discussed cooperation between Pakistan and the World Bank, with a particular focus on Pakistan’s macroeconomic stability.
The Finance Minister emphasized the government’s strong partnership with the Bank and expressed hope that the World Bank would continue playing a key role in the country’s socio-economic development.
