Prime Minister Imran Khan says the PTI government firmly believes in strengthening the parliament, which represents the masses.
Talking to Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser, who called on him in Islamabad, the Prime Minister said he has always struggled for fair and free elections.
Matters relating to the ongoing parliamentary affairs in the National Assembly were discussed during the meeting.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister in a tweet said his party will always seek to strengthen a fair and free election process. He said unfortunately others lack this commitment.
The Prime Minister said we are seeking open ballot for Senate elections because we want transparency.
He said the PTI candidate of Daska NA-75 by-election should ask for re-polling in the 20 polling stations, even though there is no legal compulsion to do so before ECP announces results.
