The inaugural session of Punjab Assembly is underway in Lahore.

Speaker Sibtain Khan is chairing the session.

During the session, the Speaker will administer the oath to the newly elected members.

PML-N has nominated Maryam Nawaz as its candidate for Chief Minister slot while Mian Aslam Iqbal is the candidate of independent candidates backed by PTI and Sunii Itehad Council.
