The Nation celebrates Pakistan Day on Tuesday with a renewed pledge to transform the country into a true Islamic and welfare state in line with the vision of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
On this day, the historic Lahore Resolution was adopted in 1940 that provided a framework for realization of the goal of a separate homeland for Muslims of South Asia.
National flag was hoisted atop all major government buildings.
ISPR has released a special song in connection with the Pakistan Day.
In view of the third wave of Covid-19, all events in connection with the day were held under strict compliance to SOPs.
Pakistan Day Parade, the main feature of the celebrations, will be held in Islamabad on Thrusday in compliance with all the anti-COVID SOPs.
Radio Pakistan and PTV are broadcasting special programmes to highlight the significance of the day and pay tribute to the leaders of Pakistan Movement.
Meanwhile, flag hoisting and awards distribution ceremonies were held under strict SOPs in the provincial capitals, Gilgit and Muazaffarabad today (Tuesday) in connection with Pakistan Day.
SINDH
Pakistan Day was celebrated in Sindh as elsewhere in the country today with national zeal and fervour to commemorate the Pakistan Resolution that was passed on 23rd march 1940 in Lahore.
It was a public holiday across the province and all the celebrations were organized in compliance with all the anti-Covid Standard Operating Procedures.
The day was dawn with 21-gun-salute in the provincial capital while special prayers were also offered in mosques and homes for the progress, prosperity and the integrity of Pakistan.
Governor Sindh Imran Ismail and Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah along with his cabinet visited the mausoleum of founder of the nation Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
They offered Fateha and laid the floral wreath and also recorded their impressions on visitors’ book.
To mark the day, a number of programs were also arranged throughout the city by different educational, social and government organizations.
The Directorate of Electronic Media & Publication (DEMP) also organized the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah Photograph Exhibition at the University of Karachi.
AJKPakistan Day was observed all over Azad Jammu and Kashmir today with national zeal and enthusiasm.
The day dawned with special prayers for the prosperity of the country and the early liberation of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The main flag hoisting ceremony of the day was held in Prime Minister House Muzaffarabad wherein Prime Minister AJK Raja Farooq Haider Khan hoisted the national flag. National anthems of both Pakistan and AJK was presented.
National flag hoisting ceremonies were also held in all districts of the state marking Pakistan Day in strict observance of Corona SOPs during the functions.

Youme-e-Pakistan was also celebrated in Gilgit Baltistan with traditional zeal today.
Functions were held in all three divisions to pay tributes to the leaders of Pakistan movement.
In Gilgit, flag hoisting ceremony was held in Yadgare Shahuda in Chinar Garden in the morning where Chief Minister Muhammad Khalid Khorsheed hoisted the national flag.
He laid floral wreath at Yadgar and offered Fatiha.
A contingent of GB police presented guard of honor on the occasion.
Day Abroad
Youm-e-Pakistan celebrations were held in Pakistan Embassies and missions abroad today.
Pakistan Embassy in Ankara observed National Day by hoisting the country's flag and reaffirming its commitment to the vision of its forefathers.
Addressing the gathering, Pak Ambassador to Turkey, Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi thanked Turkey and its people for standing side by side with Pakistan, particularly on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir.
A flag hoisting ceremony was also held at the Embassy of Pakistan, in Brussels to commemorate the National Day.
In his message, Ambassador of Pakistan to the European Union, Belgium and Luxembourg Zaheer A. Janjua paid homage to the historic struggle of the Muslims of the Sub-Continent for an independent homeland, where they could live their lives with complete religious, cultural and social freedoms.
He said Pakistan stands firmly with its Kashmiri brethren in their just struggle against illegal occupation by India.
Pakistan’s flag was hoisted at a ceremony held at Pakistan Embassy in Paris this morning.
In his remarks, Charge d’Affaires M. Amjad Aziz Qazi said this day Pakistan reaffirms its support to the brothers and sisters of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir who continue to face Indian military siege.
Messages of President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were also read out on the occasion.
Speaking at the ceremony to mark Pakistan Day at Pakistan embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan Ambassador Mansoor Ahmed Khan reiterated Pakistan’s commitment for restoration of peace in Afghanistan and supported an inclusive political solution to end the conflict.
He said Pakistan desires a peaceful, stable, sovereign and united Afghanistan.
The Pakistan Day was also observed with patriotic zeal and spirit at the Pakistan High Commission, New Delhi today.
Charge d’Affairs Aftab Hasan Khan hoisted the country’s flag at a ceremony held at Chancery’s lawns.
In his remarks on the occasion, he said for larger interest of the region, the peace within South Asia is vital.
He said Pakistan want to have friendly relations with all countries including India.
To achieve peace between Pakistan and India, he said both countries should resolve all outstanding issues including Jammu and Kashmir through dialogue.
A flag hoisting ceremony in connection with Pakistan Day was held at Pakistan High Commission in Ottawa Canada today.
Pakistan High Commissioner Raza Bashir Tarar unfurled the flag to the tune of the national anthem.
The ceremony was held with simple arrangement due to restrictions to contain the spread of COVID-19 and only staff of the High Commission attended the occasion.
