The speakers at an event have advocated for a stronger collaboration between the government and non-government medical actors to improve health indicators in Pakistan.
The event was organized by an international NGO Doctors without Borders in Islamabad.
Parliamentary Secretary National Health Services Dr. Nauhseen Hamid was chief guest on the occasion.
Addressing the ceremony, MSF country representative Aymen Abdullah said Pakistan has high needs for mother and child healthcare and specific diseases.
She said her organization is committed to serving those in need, and looks forward to the support from the relevant government departments so that we can continue our medical services effectively.
MSF first started working in Pakistan in 1986, and now provides urgently needed quality medical care to people in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh provinces.
