Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended warm greetings to the followers of Buddhism across the world on the occasion of Vesak being celebrated today. 

In a message on his X handle, he called for celebrating the shared heritage and continue working towards mutual respect and understanding.       

The Prime Minister prayed that may this Day bring peace, prosperity and harmony to all.

Vesak Day also known as Vesakha, Buddha Purnima or Buddha Day, is a major festival of followers of Buddhism which marks the birth, enlightenment and death of Gautam Buddha, the founder of Buddhism.
