Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Higher Education Minister Kamran Khan Bangash has said the provincial government is going to form a consortium of universities and will also provide financial and technical support to it.

Addressing a ceremony at the Governor's House in Peshawar, he said our sole aim is to make the public sector universities financially and administratively stable.

Kamran Bangash said extraordinary measures have been taken to promote the culture of research, reduce the financial deficit and bring the budget of universities into surplus.

On this occasion, the provincial minister presented shields of appreciation to the vice chancellors of eight public sector universities which performed extraordinarily.
