Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation Dr Sania Nishtar says 260 billion rupees have been allocated for Ehsaas programmes to address the difficulties faced by the poor segment of society.
She stated this during a visit to ‘Ehsaas’ registration centre in Lahore today (Saturday) to review the Ehsaas survey registration process. She said the Prime Minister will announce a separate budget for upcoming Ehsaas targeted commodity subsidy programme.
Dr Sania said different initiatives of ‘Ehsaas Programme’ which include Ehasas Kafaalat, Ehsaas Nashonuma, Ehsaas scholarships for children and others are linked with this survey.
She said that the survey in Lahore would soon be completed while the survey across the country had been done.
