Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have agreed to take further steps for enhancing cricketing ties between the two nations.
The agreement was reached during a meeting between Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Mohsin Naqvi and Chairman of the UAE Cricket Board Sheikh Nahyan Mubarak Al Nahyan in Ghotki.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations and strategies for the promotion of cricket in both Pakistan and the UAE.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi offered full cooperation in promoting cricket in the UAE.
He lauded the UAE's consistent support for Pakistan and emphasized working closely with UAE leadership to strengthen cricketing ties.
Sheikh Nahyan emphasized the significance of UAE-Pakistan relations and said the UAE deeply values its relationship with Pakistan.
Meanwhile, a decision was also taken during the meeting of the chairmen of the both cricket boards that United Arab Emirates will be deemed as the neutral venue for the Champions Trophy matches.
In a statement, PCB spokesperson Amir Mir said the PCB has formally informed the International Cricket Council in this regard.
