The OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir has adopted a joint communiqué reiterating the call on international community to hold India accountable for the heinous crimes being committed in the Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Its meeting was held in Islamabad on the sidelines of the 48th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers.

The OIC Contact Group reaffirmed its support for the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiri people for realization of their inalienable right to self-determination and freedom from Indian occupation.

The OIC Foreign Ministers declared that the final settlement of Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions and a UN supervised plebiscite is indispensable for durable peace and stability in South Asia.

The Contact Group called upon Indian to reverse all illegal and unilateral measures taken in the occupied territory on or after 5th August, 2019.
