The National Assembly on Friday unanimously passed a resolution expressing deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Federal Minister Sardar Ali Mohammad Khan Mahar.
The resolution was moved by Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan.
The resolution recognized his services for the people and strengthening democracy in the country.
The members appreciated the services of late Federal Minister Sardar Ali Mohammad Khan Mahar.
They said that Ali Mohammad Khan Mahar remained Sindh Chief Minister from 2002 to 2004. He had also been member of the Lower House since 2008. The members said the late MNA always worked for the people of Ghotki and Sindh. They prayed to GOD almighty to shower his blessings upon the departed soul and grant patience to the bereaved family to bear this loss with fortitude.
Those who spoke on the occasion included Amir Dogar, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Khawaja Asif and Maulana Akbar Chitrali.
Later, the chair adjourned the House till 2PM on Monday without taking up agenda of the day due to the death of Mohammad Ali Khan Mahar.
