Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq held a meeting with Speaker of House of Commons United Kingdom Lindsay Hoyle in London.  

During meeting they discussed the Parliamentary proceedings of running the business of the Houses and facilitating healthy debates on issues of public importance.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq informed that the Parliament of Pakistan is focusing on legislations related to socio-economic development, women empowerment and climate change, in particular.

Lindsay Hoyle, while welcoming the delegation, said mutual visits and collaboration between parliamentarians will further strengthen United Kingdom Pakistan relations that would manifest through welfare of the people of both countries.

In the discussion on Kashmir issue, the British Speaker agreed that amicable resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir issue is necessary for the peace and development in the region.
