In Russia, ten people including the chief of mercenary group Wagner Yevgeny Prigozhin, were killed when their plane crashed north of Moscow.

In a statement, Russian Emergencies Ministry said that the aircraft, flying from Moscow to Saint Petersburg, came down near the village of Kuzhenkino killing all on board

It said an investigation has been launched into the cause of the crash

Prigozhin was a key ally of President Putin but their relationship soured after the Wagner chief staged a failed mutiny against Russia's military leaders in June.
