Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the government is taking steps to empower youth across Pakistan by providing training in IT, artificial intelligence and modern skills.

He made the remarks during separate meetings in New York with delegations of Pakistani community and Pakistani youth residing in the United States.

Shehbaz Sharif said the initiative of providing laptops and scholarships to talented youth and equal educational opportunities to economically disadvantaged students through Daanish Schools, which he had started as Chief Minister of Punjab, is continuing in his capacity as Prime Minister.

He said a world-class Daanish University is also being established.

The Prime Minister said talented Pakistani youth living abroad are a source of pride for the entire nation.

He said he firmly believes that only the youth can change Pakistan’s destiny.

The youth appreciated the Prime Minister’s initiatives for their development, particularly in information technology and ease of doing business.
