In Indian state West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has written a letter to counterparts and opposition leaders across the country to unite and say no to controversial citizenship law.
In her letter, Banerjee called for a meeting of opposition parties to chalk out concerted plan to save democracy.
She urged need to rise in a united manner against this draconian regime and unholy efforts by center to implement either Citizenship (Amendment) Act or National Register of Citizens in the country.
Earlier, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy refused to implement Citizenship Act in his territory.
