Chairman Prime Minister's Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan says the government is taking practical steps for empowerment of youth.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad today, he said the government has achieved huge successes in the areas of education, entertainment, employment, entrepreneurship and sports under the banner of PM's Youth Programme.
He said the National Youth Council has been formed in a transparent manner, having representation of one hundred members within the country and thirteen from overseas Pakistanis.
Highlighting the composition of National Youth Council, he said the Council comprises forty-nine boys, forty-nine girls, two transgender and representatives from minorities.
Rana Mashhood said the members of the National Youth Council will gather in the federal capital during a three-day session in the coming days.
He said the Council will play a proactive role in the government's policy making and other initiatives.
