Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has lauded Radio Pakistan's Saut-ul-Quran Channel for spreading Islam's message of peace.
He was addressing a seminar in connection with 20th anniversary of Saut-ul-Quran Channel of Radio Pakistan at National Broadcasting House Islamabad on Thursday.
Ahsan Iqbal said that Saut-ul-Quran is providing splendid services to the laymen of Pakistan by keeping him abreast of the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Holy Prophet [Peace Be Upon Him].
He said that the government has expanded this channel's transmission from five to 19 centers across the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Senator Raja Zafar-ul-Haq said that Radio Pakistan is playing a cardinal role in development and progress of the country.
He said that the feedback of Saut-Ul-Quran Channel is very positive and we are trying to expand its transmission to the rural areas of G.T Road.
Director General Radio Pakistan Shafqat Jalil said that efforts are being made to improve Saut-ul-Quran Channel to promote Islamic teachings.
A large number of Radio Pakistan employees including Director General, Director News, Director programmes and station director of the channel were present on the occasion.
